I"m sorry, but you're just guessing at what is causing what and what is helping what.
Calcium spurs are caused by not enough calcium in the diet. When there is not enough calcium, then it is PULLED FROM the bones, and then you have the spurs.
This is compounded when you eat nightshade foods which interfere with vitamin D metabolism.
That's why you're having trouble IMHO.
