There is a controversy between which to use. Some will say one is better than another. If one is concerned with salt intake then using the sodium ascorbate might not be a good thing.

I have seen some compounds that use both. If you are adding sodium bicarbonate you are creating your own and in that sense why not start with it in the first place.

Also note the the ingestion of the lipo C is not broken down in the digestive system but rather is allowed to pass through due to the encapsulation of the C in the fatty molecules. If you are taking sodium bicarbonate alone and not encapsulating it should not convert the ascorbic acid. If you are encapsulating them all the chemical reaction will be still different as the absorption and conversion will take place differently than if it was taking place in the digestive tract.

There are many things to consider but one this is certain, the use of it for many diseases has been shown to be very effective.
