"Dr. Michael McNett: Very much so. We have known for many years that hypothyroidism causes fibromyalgia; all newly diagnosed fibromyalgia patients routinely get a thyroid profile to see if this is present in them."
I have to pull you up on this. Hypothyroidism DOES NOT cause fibro! Fibro/CFS patients do have some degree of hypothyroidism, that is quite well known by anyone who knows about these illnesses. However hypothyroidism did not come first.
Fibro/CFS have dysfunctional ie deficient hypothalamus function AND some degree, in some cases minor, of pituitary deficiency, hypopituitarism. However these do not cause fibro/cfs they are a symptom of the cause, which is in no way connected to candida. Any candida infection is merely a symptom.
BTW I know the true cause of CFS/fibro & most other autoimmune diseases and it is not candida and Iodine is not going to fix it.
