Migraines

Just a note on migraines... I had worked with a biofeedback trainer in a biofeedback lab and had to learn how to use the machines and had to practice for 20 minutes a day on the machines getting my heart rate and blood pressure to slow down. It was really an amazing experience. Anyway, years later, I was prescribed Zyrtec for some allergies and at first I did not put two and two together, but whenever I took the Zyrtec I would begin to have a splitting migraine headache about 30 minutes later - the pain was unlike anything I had ever felt before, making me nauseous, dizzy, blocking out half my vision - I would have to spend the whole day in bed it was so bad. Then I remembered my biofeedback training and I discovered that if I started the heart rate lowering exercise the minute I felt the pain coming on, every time I felt it coming on, I could knock out the migraine and keep it from progressing. I was about to go to the doctor for a CAT scan because I honestly thought I was developing a brain tumour because the head pain was so bad, but I finally realized that on the days I did not take the Zyrtec, I did not get the headaches. I threw the Zyrtec out, but was amazed at how the biofeedback techniques were able to disintegrate the migraine from coming into "full bloom". You might want to look into biofeedback techniques and see if they give you any relief from the terrible migraines.
