I've found that 5 a day can help to inhibit candida, but 5/3x/day works best. In the late 1940s, they used as much 15-20x that dosage, but without a diet. I don't think eating the diet recommended there would work well. More and more people have blood sugar imbalances associated with fungal candida and eating the simple carb foods recommended there would definitely not work.
Soups are generally okay, but I would be careful with carrot soup. Beet soup can work. You have to take your own body's response into consideration. Carrot soup in Week 9 of the Candida Plan would be fine.
