Yes, I feel clean after a shower, too. And yes, I still smell, but some days are worse than others. Right now, I use Ban roll-on (unscented), since I read very good reviews about it relative to other drugstore deodorants. It's not the worst drugstore buy, but I've noticed that the roller ball smells like musty B.O. even though I only put it on after a shower.

I hate wearing it as I know that if the roller ball smells of B.O. I will too. I have tried wiping away the bacteria with alcohol and running it under the faucet, but it always smells horrible.

When I use lemons under the Ban deodorant, it turns into an unpleasant maple syrup smell, but it weakens the odor (on myself and the roller ball). I get comments about it though. Some random people were behind me, yesterday, and they asked each other what that "syrup" smell was.

It's odd as I have never had that comment before this combo, but I smelled it all day. Everywhere I went, so I knew it was me. Oh well.

But yeah, I think a cold rinse does help. I think it's because hot water makes me sweat. So I tend to finish off a shower with a cold rinse, since I think it helps close my pores and cool off.
