Die hards
I know I'll likely never be rid of things. I'd be satisfied with a relatively benign co-existence. That they would abandon the hyperinfection, the dissemination, and retreat to the gut for a quiet life span would be great. Great, that is, compared to the hyperinfection, the dissemination, the, "scattering."
The things used to be content with gut life. Flying under the radar they were innocuous. Never had to think about them. A couple things here and there but no biggie.
Would that they would retreat, settle down, and life would once again be, "normal." If a retreat were to occur I certainly would leave them alone down there. No enemas, no over the top anthelminthics, no prodding, no poking a stick at them. Getting them fired up to expand their territory for the sake of survival was and is a big mistake IMO.
