Painful for some but not others.
That was an interesting question daizymae. I never had pain in the gallbladder with my 2.8cm stone. It was pain lower left or right after eating.
Before I flushed upper left. An attack feels like I get the flu, took me some time to realize it, and I drink a cup of warm water with 1 tbs
Epsom Salts (sometimes 2 if
it does not stop soon enough)and the pain will go away. As far as pain during the "attack" my collar bones and upper back really hurt and it gets tight around the stomach. A few months ago I had a scare the gallbladder itself was hurting and I could feel it when I pushed on it. Since I was not home I went to a different doctor and asked him for an ultrasound since I wanted to make sure it was not dangerous and I had some other sickness. He did also an EKG because he said belly pain often relates to the heart. The US turned out ok. They said I had a 2.6
cm stone but no inflammation. He did not see any reason for surgery, he said if you have been able to live with it for 15 years just continue. His remark was that he sees many people that have surgery and it
does not solve their problems. I was
lucky to find an open minded MD.
