Re: Just a few words from an ex-vegetarian / vegan

I've done lots of research on a vegan diet. I could never go back to eating meat for ethical reasons, of course I respect those who do, but for me it just isn't an option. Meat in itself has been proven to allow cancer to thrive from it as well as many other awful diseases/illnesses. Milk on the other hand from cows is not supposed to be consumed by humans, we stop producing the enzyme lactase which allows us to drink our own mothers milk and so to drink the milk of another animal is viewed as abnormal and scientists do not actually regard being 'lactose intolerant' as an intolerance, but rather see it as abnormal for those who can, to be able to drink milk. I also find cheese to be awful on the digestive system and it also causes cramps bloating and spots for me and many others. Did you know legally over 100million pus cells are allowed legally in our milk? And whatever is created out of milk like cheese or yogurt has 10x the amount of what's in milk. Plus all animals that are slaughtered experience pain and suffering which is then transferred to us when we consume that animal.

The only problem I have with this diet is finding lots of different simple recipes.

For me the evidence against a omnivore diet is far more logical than the evidence against being a vegan/vegetarian. Plus all ancient and intelligent societies where vegetarians. The only reasons we are led to believe that eating these products is good for our health is so that we stay sick and therefore dependent on the "powerful elitist1%" and of course it supports the pharmaceutical industry which is not out to cure anyone, but is just looking for customers. And of course our education system is dominated and controlled by the big banking families who control all the information in our text books.

I do not eating gluten, I wouldn't say I have a sensitivity to it because sometime I can eat it and be fine. But when I avoid it I have much more energy, better concentration, do not feel weighed down and my skin is clearer. I think gluten is a bit like dairy products, not compatible with our digestive systems.

I think I have lectured you a bit on the whole vegan diet, which I wasn't setting out to do, I just would like you to know why I feel it is best for me. And also I hope it did not come across rudely or arrogantly and as I said I respect those who still consume animals it is a choice and only we can make those kind of choices for ourselves.
