Yes, now I do not need to apply any cream or lip balm to it! As it got better I started weaning myself off of the balm and just used the calendula cream in the morning and at night and now I really don't need it at all. Sometimes I do feel that the burning may be coming back so I apply the baking soda again with the calendula afterwards. But again - I'm not ABSOLUTELY sure that is the cure!
I have been gluten free for 2.5 years. At first that seemed to help with the peeling but after a while no diet change helped. I will try to find some pics but I've got to search through them and I'm pretty busy right now - I will look for them.
I would apply the baking soda 1-2 times a day, in the morning as soon as I woke up or at night, leave it on for a couple mins and then wipe it off and immediately apply the calendula. I also made a mouth wash with it and used that morning and night. Now I just apply the colostrum paste to my lips every morning just in case that is the thing that's working.
