Diverticulitis treatments

Any thoughts on trying to treat bacterial overgrowth and possible round worm infection when fighting chronic diverticulitis ?
I was using DE and it messed my stomach up pretty bad .Ive used psyllium husks and Bentonite clay to try to clean the pockets out to no avail .
It seems like if you are one of the unlucky ones that have severe diverticulitis and you get a parasite you are SOL .
The doctors kept pushing Antibiotics at me which do work for awhile .But it keeps coming back .
Anyone out there have tried and true methods for keeping the diver under control ?
I had some specimens sent to a doctor to ID but haven't heard back .If I was to guess I think this means they are having a hard time ID ing it .If it was something simple I would have heard by now.
