Re: CDSA test for Candida or Faecal Mutliplex PCR

Candida is a 'normal' commensal yeast, and everybody has it. Overgrowth is an over used word. It is incorrect. Candida morphs, changes, into a fungus under certain conditions, usually steriod use, tho' you say accutane caused it, I would guess you took Antibiotics or steroids prior to taking Accutane, and they would be the cause, not the accutane.
It is the FUNGAL Candida that causes all the problems as our body's immune system recgonizeds it as a bad bug, and sends out histamine, which can't reach it because it is hiding in the crypts of the microvilli of the gut.
So any test you take shows Candida, but does not show FUNGAL candida, or rate the histamine reaction to it.
Treatment(which you will find hard to get in the USA, a lot easier elsewhere in the world) is 28 days of 5 drops taken 4 times a day sugarfree, in suspension of Nystatin.
