On occasion, some of the bile backs up into the stomach, where it comes to rest, causing some irritation. This can especially happen during a healing reaction or "flare up" when a lack of appetite, nausea and sometimes vomiting can be experienced. Should this happen, drink copious amounts of peppermint tea every 15-20 minutes to flush the bile out of the stomach and gruel should be used in all juices, which will help sooth the lining of the intestinal tract.
