b3nault just made an update to his amazing message thread:
"Forgot to mention...
If I did try and drink any alcohol, I felt very nauseous and wanted to vomit.
About a week or 2 after starting iodine, my friend came over with my favorite beer when I was drinking...and I mean my FAVORITE of all time. The beer didn't seem appetizing at all, but I tried it anyways. Result was nausea after a glass.
2 weeks later, I tried another favorite of mine, curious to see if this was a fluke. Result, more nausea.
Besides not having alcohol on the brain all the time from taking iodine, I also knew now that if I drank any alcohol, I would feel like vomiting.
So my take on this is that if the brain gets enough iodine then it has the power to reject alcohol by throwing a fit.
b3nault clearly saved his life and is avoiding death from cirrhosis of the liver. My father in law & a good friend both died early in their life from cirrhosis. My good friend only drank beer, but a LOT of it.
Proof once again that Trapper is RIGHT ON with his recommendation for high iodine dosages. We need to put Trapper in charge of the FDA !
