Re: Somer, did you use P&B shakes? Just curious. (no message)
You need an International Credit Card to shop online, and I do not do International Credit Cards...
I live in Sunny Cabo San Lucas (tip of Baja) for the past 20 years! There is a whole exciting saga how I ended up here, but I have long been a Mexiphile and my life goal is to see Evvvvvry little corner of this incredible strange, funny, wonderful country! I have seen a place or two, and everywhere I go just makes me want to see MORE!
I am a dual citizen, and really love living in Mexico--Cabo is kind of strange because it is SUCH a 5 star cowboys and indians wild west yee ha end of the world exclusive beer drinkin' tourist destination... but Baja is truly a wonderment, and Cabo has been a good place for me to get Established. I worked in resort management for several years (NOT timeshare!), and learned much and truly enjoyed the work. I am now happily retired, and live with the ex-general manager of a fabulous resort--I was his Lovely Assistant and we got together a couple years after we both left the hotel. So we can always reminisce about The Good Old Days!
One of my Big Fave places is dear little Yelapa, in the Bahia de Banderas, the same big bay Vallarta is in. You still get there by boat, 40 minutes down the coast, and it truly is a tropical paradise. Many times I have gone there, rented a funky palapa (for about $5 a night) for 4-5 months at a time and just HUNG OUT. Sleep in my hamaca! Walk the trails, hit the beach once a day, hit the private swimming beach, walk up the river, hit the private bathing pool, hike up a mountain, hit the private jungle waterfall pool... you know, the usual! Orchids blooming wild, macaws mating in the trees, fruit hitting you in the face as you hike, fresh fish for dinner AGAIN? ... another lousy day in paradise!!
Don't get me started on Mexico! I'm from the Chamber of Commerce!
But trust me, it will be easier in early September to just grab the
Bentonite off a shelf! The credit card, shipping, customs... naw, better send the burro again!
Have a fine one,
Somer
