Can I catch herpes a second time after curing myself?

I have been debating whether to cure my herpes with the hydrogen peroxide protocol because if I were to cure it, I would still be having sex with the same partner who has the herpes also. So my question is if I were to cure myself of my genital herpes, how likely would I be to get reinfected. I understand I would still have the herpes antibodies floating around after curing myself and technically it should prevent catching it a second time. Any viral experts out there want to weigh in on the matter? Or has anyone dealt with this and contracted it again after getting cured? Tweet
