Re: Sorry to hear your story

I thank you for the response, but I am sorry you are very wrong. Would you treat a deadly bacterium infection with a liver flush? there are some conditions where anti biotics are needed.

I was treated with triple anti biotics about 3 years ago when they found I had H. Pylori and it has not come back :) I get re-tested every year (because im paranoid of it coming back lol)

I understand where you are coming from (I am a big believer in natural therapies and have been taking probiotics for over 10 years) but I had not had ANY Antibiotics for over 10 years BEFORE the smell first started occurring. Two years after the smell started, I got the anti biotic treatment for H. Pylori.

Yersinia bacteria is passed on from animals and drinking unclean water (I lived on a farm and did all this, swam in dams, drank water from an unclean well).

I have tried EVERYTHING natural to get rid of the smell and the stomach issues. Enemas, flushes, different foods, different herbs, eliminating foods, vitamins etc etc - nothing worked and as you can see the bacteria was still there even through all these therapies. I am so strict with my diet I dont eat out anymore.

And Im not cured from this smell at all.

You cant cure a case of mycobacterium tuberculosis JUST from natural remedies, can you?

It was actually a naturopath who ordered the stool test for me. When she got the results she said I needed to go and get anti biotics from a GP for this bacteria and stop it in its tracks before it gets worse.

She then said once Ive finished the anti biotics she will give me a different strand of probiotics to the one I was on to help heal the gut and some glutamine as well as other stuff.

I understand anti biotics get a bad wrap, I am in the medical field and yes I beleieve they are handed out too easily. This comes from when they are handed out to people with a virus in prevention of a bactrial infection occurring (I think anti biotics are given out too often for common colds).

BUT like I said, would you by-pass anti biotics and use herbs and foods to treat a deadly case of tuberculosis?

As I said, thank you for the response, I definitely know where you are coming from with natural therapies being the first line of defence... but I have seen people in my work reject conventional medicine when they were quite ill and rarely did it end well :(
