Scientific deduction: surprise!

Very interesting find.

For those who are unfamiliar, I do ongoing research using stool, blood, and bodily fluid analysis to find possible infectious microbes with the assistance of high-grade microscopy and image capture equipment. I also have a solid background in immunology.

I had a slight infection under the foreskin of the penis, and was able to extract pus, which is basically white blood cells in the act of fighting an infectious invader.

This allowed me to isolate and observe the target pathogen by looking at what is being attacked by the white blood cells (in this case granulocytes).

The pathogen was unusual, as it was too small to be fungal or protozoan, and not morphologically similar to most bacteria.

After ascertaining the size, I am suspecting it is a species of chlamydia, although it is somewhat larger than common STD types.

I have also been experiencing new symptoms of bowel discomfort, including persistent gas, at night and morning. I had concluded this was a coinfection and hoped it would pass. It still persists.

Interestingly though, I was able to identify the same bacteria which infected the penis, in the stool exam.

It is therefore a solid conclusion, there is a chlamydia type bacterial infection of the bowel, and this is very likely the cause of the new symptoms, and may also be the primary reason a new "unknown" parasite has manifested [mentioned in past postings].

I missed the identification of these bacteria in the past, but did noticed them.

This is the benefit of being your own health inspector.

Next step is to have a clinical test to verify, and be treated. Stay tuned.
