Re: In Deep Trouble. Need Help.
Hi dpier,
Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. Many of your symptoms sound very similar to what mine were a couple of years ago. Especially the anxiety,
food sensitivities , allergies, and breathing difficulties.
Back then I was attacking candida and trying to heal my gut too. I went on the GAPS diet, took loads of probiotics, ate a ton of sauerkraut and also did anti-fungals and cleanses. It turned out that these efforts were actually adding to a huge unknown issue that I had and I was progressively making myself worse.
It turned out I was severely histamine intolerant and all of the supposed gut healing protocols were making the monster even bigger. I went through quite a bit of pain and suffering before I figured this out, and it was a huge piece of the puzzle for me. Those protocols are LOADED with high histamine foods..especially all those ferments.
I gave up on killing candida when my
food allergies got so out of control that I was reacting to everything I ate. After about 6 weeks on a
Low Histamine Diet I began to feel exponentially better. 3 months on this program I had no more traces of candida..regular bowel movements, pink tongue, no sign of any yeast infections, improved digestion.
I know I had candida, but its gone now. My experiences have taught me that candida is dealt with once you get the body itself more balanced. getting my histamine in check was a big part of that, and the diet I was on turned out to be metabolically healing itself. My body eventually took care of the candida on its own.
I don't have experience with all the pharmaceuticals, but I did go through about a month of benzo withdrawal after a hospital visit landed me on 15 mg a day for two weeks. It was NOT fun at all. A lot of your symptoms do sound benzo related, but I have a hunch that there's combination of things happening with you.
Just wanted to give you some food for thought, as not many in this forum are as experienced with histamine issues as I am. It is definitely something I would suggest considering.
