Re: Getting Back to Normal? Supplements?

Hi there
I too had premenopausal symptoms and had the Mirena taken out. Then I had a massive bleed for two weeks (similar to the postpartum bleed after childbirth - heavy and relentless) and then no period for 8 months. My bloodwork showed hormone levels indicative of menopause. I was 41. There is no family history of early menopause.
I am going to try evening primrose to help with the mood swings.
I have also found a post about how the Mirena affects K and Mg levels, which has multiple systemic implications. I am considering trying those.
I have had thyroid issues, liver issues and heart issues. And I have never had those in the past.
My blood pressure has also gone from 110/70 to 140ish/110.
I wish I had trusted my gut instinct which told me not to get a Mirena. Instead I listened to my docs' insistence over a three-year period and gave in.
It has wreaked havoc on my endocrine system and I feel like my body is now trying to return to normal, with very mixed success.
I am also getting oestrogen pessaries to try and combat the vaginal dryness and soreness. I almost don't want to fill the prescription because it is hormonal and I have had such a bad experience. I also keep hoping that my body will correct itself.
It is very demoralising and I have not felt myself for a long time.
I wish you all the luck in the world and think it is very important for us to speak out.
