Re: Glycerin WAS the allergy that made my bottom lip peel
I wrote you another email, but the problem with starting off with more than 1 ingredient, is that it will be difficult to track you progress. All earthpaste is, IS
Bentonite calcium clay. Better to buy this separate, and try it, and then put a bit of essential oil mint or cinnamon or whatever you know doesn't bother you on your tongue for fresh breath. Keep flossing of course. Oh and oddly enough, before I discovered glycerine was the culprit, over the counter vaginal yeast cream Gyno-Lotrimin almost got rid of it too. Yet I doubt I had Candida, or a fungus, because it went away after I identified the allergy. Which means that cream has another capacity for healing that has yet to be studied. Perhaps it suppresses immune responses? Who knows, but you might want to try this too. Just use the tiniest amount, and avoid licking you lips. I read a lot of other people were having success with this too, yet had confirmed no Candida with lab tests, so go figure.... Also, if you find the clay dies out your gums a bit, just take a bit of cold-pressed (non chemically extracted) sunflower oil, or olive oil and brush you teeth and gums with it afterwards gently. I add clove oil to this for sensitivity prevention, but my gums and teeth are looking amazing now! The problem with allergies, is that it can be ANYTHING! Let me know how all goes for you, and don't forget glycerin is in our soaps, shampoo, face serums, lip balms....you will have to read everything to avoid it reaching your lips. Even in some of our foods, like alcohol free vanilla (but food stuff doesn't bother me.....yet!) :)
