Re: wandering
Hello everyone I have been rather quietly following this lovely forum!!! Thank you for sharing all this experiences and knowledge
is really precious!
I am 32 and had my daughter 4 years ago. For the two years I was breastfeeding her I had no periods which I thought was kind of normal and nothing to worry about. When i stopped the breastfeeeding my periods did not come back and the 10 extra pounds i was carrying after pregnancy were impossible to drop. I never had this problem before as i was eating healthy and exercising regularly.
I also got cystic acne, my PCOS, which I had since i got my period at age 13, got worse (until then i had managed to kind of control it with good lifestyle and diet choises) and further more PMS!!! Before pregnancy it was not as bad it would last only 3-4 before my period and a bit during the first couple of days... But now it was getting to the point my symptoms were pretty bad from ovulation until the 1st day of my period (and my cycle is along one! 35 days!!!)
All doctors wanted to put on Acutane for my acne and the Pill for my PCOS and getting my period back!
I said bye bye Allopaths and I have been trying to solve the puzzle one piece at the time since then..
I was vegeterian but decided to go vegan (80/10/10 85% Raw) and that helped my skin a lot!!! I was taking some Agnus castus and took some folliculinum (homeopathic remedy) a couple of times for my PCOS and I think that also helped because after a couple of months I started getting my periods again even though irregular!!! I took this as a good sign.
Then i learned about the iodine (watched Dr. Tenpenny talk on youtube about Iodine deficiency and what it can cause) and started supplementing with selenium and nanscent iodine. This also helped as my tongue before that use to have teeth marks and it was getting to a normal size!
However my PMS symptoms got worse and I couldn't understand why i was not feeling better...then I run into an amazing Dr. in Brasil whos is an Allopath homeopath naturopath etc.. Elias Bernestein he haswritten a book called "Hormonal intelligence of women" but it is in Portuguese..
I told him about my symptoms which start with ovulation and start diminishing towards the end of my period...
Depression, crying for no reason, bloating, water retention, disability to loose weight and sudden weight gain ( I can hardly fit in my clothes during those days), irritability, hair loss, tender breasts, low libido, feeling my ovaries a bit heavy etc...
He perscribed Magnesium, along with other minerals and vitamins and also perscribed a natural bioidentical progesterone cream to be compounded in a pharmacy as a therapy for a few months (2-3 cycles).
I trust him so I went along and ordered the perscribed stuff...
So i went on the internet and started researching about progesterone cream and run into Dr. Lee talk on youtube and the information was mind blowing!!!!
Also from this video on "Iodine Insufficiency and Cancer" - by Jorge D. Flechas, MD, I found out that estrogen inhibits the absorbtion of Iodine!!!
I have started taking the supplements he has suggested and in afew days i will start using the cream for the second half of my cycle and see how that goes!
I think that iodine alone is not the answer... of course it plays a huge role but maybe there is something more we are missing... and that goes for men too they also need progesterone...
Wish me luck and i will post my experience of using natural Progesterone cream!
I also went to amazon and read reviews on the Emerita Progesterone cream to see what other women were experiencing the product has almost 400 five star reviews and if you are curious please go see how progesterone has helped many women... I hope i am one of them prasing Progesterone cream soon ;-)))
all the best to all!
