Re: Low magnesium is too common in this

Thanks for the post. It is so true that Magnesium (Mg) is amazingly helpful to so many people. Those who are not familiar with Mg may find it hard to believe that it could help with so many problems. Science has a decent feel for many chemical reactions in the body that require Mg. The following are a few examples.

Conversion of problematic homocysteine towards cysteine and the very important detox chemicals, glutathione and sulfate. High homocysteine is a risk factor for certain heart problems.

Production of the sleep related chemical/hormone melatonin.

You've heard of Milk of MAGnesia for constipation. Why not take Mg citrate or glycinate which are better absorbed? Your body will use the Mg for various important processes before it gets excreted and help with constipation! The citric acid and glycine will also be useful.

I have a history of ADD. When works gets very busy and I start to get hyperactive, a little Mg helps me to become calmer and more mentally in control, yet it does not make me feel tired.

It also has a history of helping when I have strained my back or other muscle.

Detox specialist, Andrew Cutler, says mercury causes the body to fail to retain Mg normally. It is common for members of detox groups to enjoy the benefits of Mg several times per day.
