Re: Health blogger another low-carb Faileo victim

Hey saywhatagain,

My viewpoint is this: regardless of whether we actually know what man ate during the paleo period, my opinion is that "paleo" can be healthy when done properly.

I believe that it has a lot of beneficial charateristics such as: don't eat processed garbage and don't eat dairy. I am not against grains, but I think there are better options, although I think brown rice is healthy.

However, you are 100% correct in that there are many different versions of "paleo" and noone seems to be able to agree on what actually constitutes "paleo" and what does not.

In my opinion, "paleo" done right would consist of: fruits (all kinds), vegetables, and meats, nuts and seeds. NO OILS! And you would take in the bulk of your calories as carbohydrates.

I have attempted the low carb paleo and had several problems.

I believe the body needs carbs to function at its best.

Disclaimer: I don't eat paleo because I like potatoes, beans, and lentils and believe these to be healthy options for me.
