Both vegetarian and meat-heavy diets can be extremely contaminated with GMOs depending on how careful you are about avoiding them. Almost all of commercial packaged meat is raised on a diet of total Genetically-Modified-Organisms grains, unless you specifically buy grass-fed, organic or otherwise naturally raised meat. Same with vegetarian products, sure if you just buy regular grocery-store food the majority of it is contaminated with GMOs or modern toxic ultra-hybridized wheat, but you can also find a lot of very clean, naturally grown grains and legumes that are perfectly health and should be able to be digested by anyone with a healthy digestive system. If you cannot digest healthy grains or other carbohydrates, your digestive system is not functioning properly regardless of what you believe is an optimal diet. In other words, you believe the paleo diet is an optimal diet, okay I disagree, but even if the paleo diet was an optimal diet, a healthy human should still be able to digest naturally grown carbohydrates, such as fruit, wild tubers and many others carbohydrates. If they cannot digest these, they are a sick individual.
