Liver flush helping swollen legs?

Hi,

I'm 34 years of age, a good weight, but could probably do more exercise. I dont drink or smoke and eat pretty much a paleo diet. When I was overweight, about 6 years ago I suffered with swollen ankles but they went with the weight loss.

Now its back again but seems to be worse. In my left leg mainly, my sock creates a big indentation in my lower leg, the ankle joint almost disappear. Its not every day but most days. It aches and feels like pressure sometimes but it improves when I raise it. Flight socks improve the situation but not entirely.

My GP said its due to variocose veins. They are in my family and mine arent apparently bad - they show up but arent twisted or nobbly - so I dont care about the appearance.

Is this due to my liver? I've been doing a candida diet, and leaky gut protocol. I had been taking Milk Thistle for around two years but the box ran out around Christmas time just gone and I forgot to buy more. Then a couple of months ago I did Hulda Clark es parasite cleanse. I had no real problems on that but I followed it up with taking Diatomaceous Earth for a while and had bad die off with it initially. During this time I wasnt supporting my liver and now I'm kicking myself for it.

Does it sound like my liver is my problem? I've had blood tests done recently for unrelated matters and my liver function is slightly low.

I'd be grateful for any opinions.
