Yes, the translation is googlish, as I call it; and the word "unyttig" is difficult translate; useless should possibly been changed for counterproductive, or fruitless.

In general when I read posts here made by those whose first language is not english, I know the googlish factor, and instead of picking on their language I try to understand their intent, or something:)
