Day 2 Vermox for pinworms. Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update. I have decided to treat with Vermox first and if that does not work I will use the Valbazen. I'm taking 200mg twice a day for 3 days with a 7 day rest then repeat. I wanted to do it for a week but I am waiting for more Vermox to arrive. I started my treatment in the evening about 6. That night I woke up about 3am with the notorious pinworm itch but this time it was more intense. Took my next one 6am felt some of those slight itches that morning which I'm sure were the retros. That afternoon about 3p I got some gas. The gas continued until my bowel movement the next morning. Took my next one 6pm woke up again at 3am no itching this time but l had an awful stomach ache. I drank a large glass of water & went right back to sleep. Just took my 4th dose will update again in a couple days... Now I want to give my opinion. I believe the Vermox brand Mebendazole by Janssen is better than the generic or other Vermox brands. I got the Vermox from Australia, it's sold over the counter there & in New Zealand. I gave my daughter 100mg twice a day for 3 days of the Aust Vermox and the pins were back only 3 days after the last dose. I think I mentioned before that Vermox by Janssen contains Mbz polygraph C which in clinical studies had a higher cure rate.... My biggest struggle with this is my daughter having them, prob sounds dramatic, but it breaks my heart. I need to give 7 days between her treatments so I will start her on Jenssen vermox on Thursday.
