Re: Iodine is the cure for Brain Fog
Thanks for the reply.
I have looked at the links, but it obviously doesn't hurt to review them again as I tend to be the type of person to jump right in to something without a lot of research.
The B complex contains B2 and B3, which is what I thought were the ATP factors, but I'll check the links again. I just remember something I read saying the B3 needed to be non-flush niacin.
I did get some selenomethionine today. Not sure how it has affected me yet. Earlier I took about a 1/4 tablet of Iodoral with no selenium, some adrenal glandulars, korean ginseng, 2g Vit C, B complex and some s. boulardii. Then I went to purchase the selenium and I also got pregnenolone, cod liver oil, vitamin E, zinc pico., and HCL. I felt good after taking the selenium and pregnenolone, but ate something that I don't think sat right with me (lentils). Then I took 50mg (4 tablets) of Iodoral with another 200mcg selenium (The first dose I took was 200mcg as well, so in total I took 400mcg of selenomethionine).
Just some things I've noticed from the very few doses of Iodoral I have taken are: a decrease in inhibitions. I have ate (what I consider to be healthy) a good diet for the better part of the last 4 1/2 years, but since taking the Iodoral it seems that I have less discipline in maintaining
healthy Diet choices.
What are your thoughts about taking the Iodoral with adrenal fatigue (or HPA axis dysregulation, hypocortisolism, or whatever it is being called). While I have never been diagnosed by a medical practitioner with "adrenal fatigue" I feel that with my history (prior military, extremely stressed, very poor diet, IBS systems, alcholism ) "adrenal fatigue" is a fairly accurate assumption about my current state of health.
Is the Iodoral beneficial in helping the whole body heal, whatever may be wrong?
Just as a side note, last summer my TSH levels were around 1 something, but I was also eating 100% raw vegan and felt the best I have in my life.
