Re: What to recommend for possible trip to Southeast Asia

I spent a year in the Philippines ten years ago, and probably came home with a whole mess of things! Almost 6 months ago was the first time I dewormed myself and it seems Humaworm is getting just about everything :).

As far as Vaccines go, I would do some research and make a well thought out decision on weather you should get them or not. Things like where exactly are you going, what is the biggest threat over there? How long are you going? What are you going to be doing? Are you going to be spending time with the locals, or just business, those types of things.

I did a medical mission over there and there are just some things you don't want to get. Things like Typhoid you can get just by eating something contaminated and you wouldn't know until you are deathly sick!

Good luck to you! Have fun! And I would still recommend Humaworm! :D
