Re: Does Oral Nystatin 30ml get rid of mycelial candida in gut?
Thanks Doctor Jeff. As I've been ill for 7 months now, I think I've done a reasonably good job of trying to get my body in good health to fight off this thing. I've-
1) Had lots of acupuncture which helped immensely
2) low carbs/no sugar diet
3) drinking water and herbal teas
3) multivitamin and mineral every day
4) iron liquid as my level was 12 and should have been at least 20
5) high strength probiotics
6) natural antifungals such as apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, garlic, swede, low dose oil of oregano.
7) extra vit c to aid iron absorption.
I don't feel I can help myself anymore now, it's down to my body to try and heal itself if it can..
I have a lot of symptoms in my head such as tingling almost like pins and needles all over my head and pains in the back of my neck and I think where my thyroid gland is a the front of my neck but blood tests have shown this is fine.I also have a black non fury tongue at the sides quite often which looks awful- is this the candida??
This is my story below, do you feel this is candida?
I have been so ill, so ill I thought you couldn't feel like this unless you were nearly dead and I honestly felt I wouldn't pull through....
I feel sure I have systemic candida but along with a lot of other people probably will never get a proper diagnosis. It all started last year in August a few months after a course of antibiotics.
Abdominal pain, fevers, chills, shaking, white coating on tongue(more so at the back), spit test positive, weak muscles, brain fog, blocked sinuses, clicking ears, low concentration levels, mood affected, blurry vision, skin rashes all over, constipation, diahrroea, periods very erratic, headaches, rancid taste in mouth, dry mouth, sores in mouth, thrush, insomnia, chest pain and palpitations, tingling, creeping sensation in scalp and pressure in my head- this was one of the more scary symptoms as it seemed to cause muscle twitches too and affected my whole body and I thought I was going to have a seizure.
I seemed to be suffering from symptoms which affected every part of my body..You name it I was suffering from it. I wouldn't be surprised if it has got into my bloodstream. I lost 1 stone in 10 days and went to hospital 3 times with my symptoms, each time being sent home as nothing according to them was significantly wrong with me. Previous to all this I was a healthy, fit, happy 30 old woman, enjoying life to the full. I couldn't quite believe what was happening to me.
It took about 4 months for me to realise that eating carbs and sugars were causing my ill health. I would go very hot and feel awful about an hour after eating carbs and it seemed to all have built up to a point that my body just couldn't cope with what I was putting into my body even though my diet was very healthy. I found from October 2013 onwards eating pure sugar in terms of chocolate, sweets would make me feel ill, literally straight away, going hot, pains at back of neck, sore throat, tingling in head, frequent urination. My brain actually shut down too, eyes wanting to close and all I wanted to do was go to sleep...SO.. in mid Dec I thought well there's nothing else to do but go completely carb/sugar free so I did up until recently (for about 8 weeks) and my symptoms thankfully seem to slowly subside, it was slow but I think something was getting better.
Symptoms I have now include going hot sometimes, sweating a bit more than usual, slight white covering on tongue. I started to reintroduce carbs in the form of lentils into my diet but these have made me feel a bit ill again.
I'm still getting weird sensations in my head, tingling, creeping and my brain shuts down sometimes, I can't move muscles, my eyes want to close and my head drops down. The this lasts about 10/15 minutes and I become more alert but I usually feel very ill, feel very tired and want to go to bed.
I'm losing patience with feeling ill now and not being able to do anything to help myself..
2 weeks ago I had an endoscopy and this showed gastritis but no h.pylori and I've read candida can cause problems in the stomach.
Thanks for any further advice you can give me, I've found it really useful.
My doctor just doesn't know what's wrong.
