Thank you for the advice. I don't plan to keep using the steroid after this week, though the dermatologist promised there were no risks of using it for twice daily for a week, then twice weekly for a couple weeks, then repeating the regimen. So I'm giving it one more week at twice a day and after that if there's no improvement I think I will either do a biopsy or explore some alternative ways to bring down the inflammation.
