Re: pomphyloxDyshidrotic Eczema
I have had this condition for the last 3 years.
I believe in my case it is direct connection with bleeding from the colon or rectum, either through small tears or hemorrhoids.
Small food particles pass directly into the blood stream. Your body thinks they are foreign bodies and tries to get rid of them. From here, I'm a little hazy on the mechanics, but it has to do with your body producing histamine to rid yourself of the food particles. So, from my experience, start investigating the health of your large bowel.
There is a lady called Carol who heads a yahoo group on dyshidrosis or pompholyx. She is a podiatrist, has cured herself of the condition and has done extensive research into this area. I consider her to be learned on the subject and her thoughts have helped me greatly.
She also has investigated many other causes of this condition. But, for me, I can say confidently that I know what the cause is. To say that the causes are unknown, in my case, is not true.
Short term relief: Take an antihistamine.
Best of luck,
