Yes, early in my spiritual journey I read this from Louise Hay and other teachers that came along. When there is willingness to see, you can see. For others it is a blessing to not see, as this involved pain; to look inside the s elf.
It is easier to blame something or someone, than taking the responsibility oneself.

You finding out on your own, I am not surprised as you are one of the few men I know that actually goes within, still manage to be 100 % yourself. Then with the addition of some physical substances, like potassium, boron, iodine and others, will show the way for many, maybe men in particular.
-as the split of the physical and spiritual, is just an illusion.

Men and women too. Sometimes I fall back to the old pattern of defending female vs male; but my wiser self know that we are a unit, like mesh in the clockwork.
