Yeah, my social anxiety is through the roof too...Cardio exercise kind of helps calm the negative thoughts when I'm at home though. I've also found that when I was going home after practice (when I was on the track team at school) I wasn't as hurt by people's reactions to me as I usually am. I agree that diet is usually also a factor in our conditions, but I understand that some of us are emotional eaters. Just try not to eat to feel comfort, try to eat to live. Have you tried cutting out dairy, junk food, processed food, alcohol, caffeine, soy, refined sugar, while adding in probiotics and fermented foods? This combined with exercise, of course is no guaranteed cure, but it does seem to have helped a few members on here. (It's also important to keep in mind that diet is quite subjective. What works for one person may not work for another, but a good starting point would be to cut out the most common GI irritants). Most cures seem to have been diet-related. I hope I was of some help.
