I was changing my 11 month old sons diaper yesterday. When I opened the diaper there was a worm halfway out of his anus. It was about 5 inches long and looked like a pinworm only much larger. I put the diaper in a bag and took my son to his Dr. The Dr was out but the nurse saw him. She said it was a pinworm and told me to give him Pin-X and that the whole family had to take it. He had another worm about the same size in his stools today. All the research I've done on pinworms says they're about the size of a staple. Is it possible he has something else? He doesn't act like he feels bad. His appetite is fine. If I wouldn't have found a worm I would've never known anything was wrong. Could he just have some freakishly large pinworms? Or could it be something else?
