Yeah, the burden of proof is on companies that insist that enteric coating is actually better. We do know that all the cultured and fermented foods were already benefiting people before pills and enteric coating ever came along.

The only possibility that enteric coated probiotics are more effected (and I have not seen any evidence to their superior delivery) would be
1. Weak centrifuged strains that are to fragile and isolated
2. Bifido strains which work in the lower GI being administered directly to the lower intestines for an explosive advantage. Again, you would need evidence that this was more efficacious but it does seem plausible anyway
