Re: Thoughts On Cortisol

Lips are different because lips contain salivary glands. Salivary glands emit saliva laced with cortisol. Cortisol in saliva is mostly the "free" type, whereas cortisol in the blood or serum is mostly bound to proteins. Saliva gives the BEST measure of what cortisol is truely available for use.

Let me tell ya, my lips were badly peeling the entire surface upper and lower TWICE DAILY! I just started Hydrocortizone 10 mg for hypoadrenal function. After only 6 doses, my dark, peeling, dry, bloodied lips are almost perfect! ITS AMAZING!

There are studies linking peeling dark lips to low cortisol. Unfortunately, many doctors dont know this! They are not reading medical journals and keeping up with evidence based practice! Its a shame!

Do your own research from reputable peer reviewed scientific studies! The answer is out there! You just have to find it!

AND I FOUND MINE! EXCESSIVE PEELING LIPS CAN BE CAUSED BY LOW LEVELS OF CORTISOL AND ADRENAL FATIGUE!
