Progesterone and High Cortisol

Hello, I am chasing info on whether progesterone(or excess progesterone) can cause high cortisol levels. I am being tested for cushings disease so I am researching AF and anything to do with this, I'm hoping it's stress related as I have been under a lot of stress since 09. I has been reading that prog can be used to make cortisol and I use prog cream in my luteal phase maybe this was contributing to my high cortisol levels.
