My hubby has described the same experience, from when he was a new christian- sitting at the front steps of a heavenly temple during worship at the local church, and being able to see details around the building, even while he was conscious (just a little) of still being in the church on earth.

He described a bit more visual detail to me while we were sitting, relaxing in the living room. It was fascinating! :)
