As you may know, toxins build up in the tonsils and create small, soft "stones" that are generally expelled and swallowed, perhaps without a person even realizing it. That might be what you found, though they are usually white or yellowish, not black. Though, who knows, maybe they would turn color on a fast.

I'm not sure, but that could be it (assuming you still have your tonsils ;).
