Re: Weapons Of Mite Destruction

IMPORTANT BENZEMUL UPDATE: BENZEMUL CONTAINS A SULPHUR COMPOUND WHICH I DISCOVERED CAN REACT WITH METAL IF IT'S ON YOUR HANDS AND YOU TOUCH METALLIC OBJECTS. (Parts of my laptop are discolored, fortunately it's an old one. And some of the drawer pulls in my kitchen. Being more careful now that I know.)

SO IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES IF YOUR HANDS ARE COVERED IN BENZEMUL AND YOU'RE TOUCHING THINGS, ESPECIALLY METAL.

(I'm sorry it won't let me go back and add this message to my previous posts on Benzemul.)

For gloves I use nitrile ones from C*stc*.

Also, I figured out why I was having problems clearing up my feet. I got a bit careless with my shoes-I wasn't freezing them enough between wears.

I put shoes (in sealed bag) in freezer. Overnight is better, or a few hours at least. (Most shoes don't like dryer heat.)

Slippers are a problem too. Unless you freeze/heat them every day. I now wear washable beach sandals as slippers and clean them thoroughly when I have a shower.

I also keep my hairbrush (in a bag) in the freezer. (Maybe one of those hair dressers'chemical dips for brushes would work-I don't have that.) As well as my feet, I still have a few infected areas on my scalp. I think I already mentioned freezing/heating daily towels or to use a fresh towel.

MAKE SURE TO BAG ALL USED CLOTHING AND KEEP IT SEPARATE FROM CLEAN CLOTHING. I use garbage bags. (Do not reuse the bags!)

Anything that is fabric can hold scabies mites. I haven't sat on my sofa in months and bought a steamer to steam it. For now, I sit on solid furniture I can clean easily.

Beware of clothes you haven't worn in a while too. If you aren't sure/can't remember if you put them in a hot dryer for an hour, better to freeze them before wearing. Better safe than sorry!

I've never done so much laundry or been so careful in my life.

So far I haven't done the CDC protocol for Ivermectin. I think I was maybe too infected to do Iver one day at a time. (I just did a 4 day Iver recently, and now I'm doing Benzemul again.)

But now that I've gotten my load down so much, I think I might try the CDC's Ivermectin protocol to see if it can clear up the remaining ones. (CDC's Ivermectin protocol is one dose per day on days 1,2,8,9,15,22,29.) I think it might work for a new or light infection, but not a heavy one like the one I had. The 4 days on Iver is definitely better for that.

The vision problem/light sensitivity side effect seems to go away when I go off it, but I find this Iver side effect scary. It has slowed my recovery for sure, which is slow anyway from having to relentlessly kill off each generation.

Well, that's it for now. I hope the New Year will be happy, brighter and healthier for all of us. :-)
