Does candida on the skin always mean you have a full body infestation?
Hello, I was on
Antibiotics for a few weeks for staph infection and I seem to have developed a case of cutaneous candidiasis.
It started with little red bumps on the top of my hand, so I assumed the staph had spread from my face to my hand so I applied manuka honey and covered with gauze which worked pretty well on my face. Well, it didn't go away, but instead spread up my forearm and is now developing on my left hand (top) forearm, and most recently my neck. At this point I become alarmed and did some internet research to which I came to the conclusion that I had candida.
So, before I start the seemingly daunting task of doing the psyllium husk, bentonite, capryllic acid cleanse for many months, I just wanted to know if it is an absolute certainty that if you have candida on the surface of your skin that you also have it (in a quantity that is abnormal) in your gut/intestines.
Also, as far as topical solutions I am experimenting with tea tree oil diluted with jojoba oil at a ratio of about 75/25 with tea tree being the majority. I also picked up some nystatin cream. I'm putting nystatin on my left arm and tea tree oil on my right arm and neck. So far my left arm feels not as itchy, but the left arm isn't as severe so who knows at this point which is working better.
any and all advice would be appreciated
THANK YOU
