Thank you, HealthyArtist. It helps to hear real people's experience as I trust that (and my own) over theories and generalities. I guess it really does come down to careful experimentation. There's no way around doing the long, hard work of identifying all the factors in your own illness and all the triggers and the right diet and supplements, is there? ;)
The AdrenaSense product I have contains 80mg ashwaganda, 80mg schisandra, 100mg Siberian ginseng, 100 mg suma, and 100mg rhodiola. Kind of a lot of stuff going on in there.
Can I ask -- what do you think about glandular extracts? I have a bottle of New Roots brand raw adrenal concentrate (200mg capsules with 5mg peppermint thrown in). Now that I think about it, it doesn't even say whether it's porcine or bovine or what. I read on Wilson's site that people with low bedtime cortisol who have trouble sleeping (me) can be helped by taking a glandular 30 minutes before bed. I did that last night and was wide awake with racing thoughts and restless legs and general agitation until 3am.... Won't do that again.
