Worms that don't lay eggs?

Anyone know if there are any parasite worms that don't lay eggs or don't lay eggs often?

It seems odd that specialized labs wouldn't pick something up when stool is clearly messed up. It is said a lot of parasites can lay thousands of eggs a day, are there any that don't tho?
