Re: MRI or CT scan for Tapeworms?

Sorry for not seeing your message. My best advice is to do your research and read ICU's protocols and see what works for you as there is no specific recommendation I can give as what dose you take is dependent on the species you are infested with (perhaps strongyloidiasis, schistosomiasis, filariasis?) . Unfortunately for me I have just been diagnosed by blood test for gnathostomiasis which is rarer and requires longer 3 week Albendazole blasts, and unfortunately ICU's protocols recommended to stop after 2 weeks meaning I was not dosing as effectively as I could have done over the past year.

As for diagnosis, I recommend you see a specialist in tropical medicine or infectious diseases and get as many specific antibody blood tests done for parasites that match your symptoms. Most GPs and GI doctors will be clueless in this regard so make sure to see a specialist.
