Re: Low Stomach Acid can cause Vitamin A deficiency

My vitamin A deficiency is due to celiac disease. I think you may be wrong that others here not have a vitamin A deficiency. There was another member who recently posted relation to it, too.

People will not know if they have a deficiency unless they get a vitamin A blood test. Insurance covers it. I just had a standard blood test for vitamin A the other day to monitor my progress. Have you been tested? I had no idea I had it until I was tested.

I just noticed that someone cross referenced this post in other forums. So for anyone who is reading this for the first time, I want to add that low bile flow in gallbladder can also cause a vitamin A deficiency as well as decreased pancreatic secretions. Alcohol affects the liver in way that decreases vitamin A.
