That's really interesting, Dave, b/c I was just listening to a podcast with my nutritionist who said the same thing. And that the ref. ranges are being lowered; he said that's a bad thing b/c it's being done based on a sick population (as you indicated).
I'm having the GI test redone by Genova and am pending those results. I think same lab for the adrenal profile (based on saliva), and this new dr. just ordered the NutraVal test by Genova, which I've heard is a great test.
