IF it were possible to stabilize a nascent halogen atom for more than a second in time, and a person were to ingest it, the free-radical Iodine would immediately attack the throat or mucosa and react. Then it gets swallowed like any other organically-bound iodine, and gut HCl hydrolyzes it off into a form the body can use, which is hydrogen iodide. The amount you took was tiny so the damage it did to your throat was also tiny and quickly repaired. With testimonials one has to look at the conditions. If I go to an impoverished people and bring them nascent Vitamin K, and I also bring food and feed the village in addition to giving them vitamin K, and I smile nicely and later ask for a testimonial, how would you predict they react ?
