Hi. From what I understand Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) is not good for consumption. However, I am not familiar if people that are sensitive to Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) are also sensitive to L-glutamine. L-glutamine may help repair the instestinal lining according to what I have read, but you may need to consume high doses to recieve theraputic doses. I have read anywhere from 20 grams to 40 grams and have also read that burn victims often recieve doses of 100 grams. I do not have a link to this information, so please verify it for yourself. I have personally taken up to 40 grams in one day with no short term ill effects.

The links will provide more information on RS. RS, from my findings, is only found in carbohydrate foods like legumes, lentils, cooled potatoes, and slightly green bananas.

Now, more than ever, I am convinced that candida is NOT rampant among the populace, but has been used as a marketing tool to sell products. I have been told by a gastroenterologist that if you look hard enough, a stool analysis will turn up traces of candida. People with extremely weakened immune systems are the only ones that have systemic candida problems and those that do would be bed ridden.

I would consider a healthy Diet in which only whole foods are consumed. Among the foods I consume are fruits, vegetables, legumes, rice, potatoes, lentils, chicken and fish.

I am not an expert on the subject, but have been dealing with brain fog for over 4 years. The candida diet was not the answer for me. I have heard some people benefit from a SCD type diet, where they consume mostly fats, meats and vegetables with lots of supplements. I did not do well on that type of diet, so I tried other things. What works for me is adding moderate amounts of resistant starch to my diet, which I get from legumes, cooled potatos, lentils, and green bananas.

You really have to find what works for you. And if the candida diet isn't working, try something else.

Don't be afraid of carbs. Your body needs them. It may be a tough transition at first and you may experience some troubles as you reintroduce carbs back into your diet, but these troubles are short lived and you will feel better in the long run.

The best I ever felt was from eating a 100% raw food diet of only fruits and lettuces, but while I felt great, clear headed and more energy than ever before, I felt withdrawn from family, and had teeth issues.

My point is that if something isn't working, than try something else. Obviously give whatever you are doing some time to take effect, but if it makes you feel worse or you don't experience any benefits, it's time to move on.
